Oakland County to welcome newly elected board

The Oakland County Board of Commissioners' Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 5:30 p.m. in the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Auditorium, located at 1200 North Telegraph Road in Pontiac.
Participating will be Oakland County Chief Judge of the Circuit Court Nanci J. Grant, Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper and the new Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds and former Oakland County Board Chairman Bill Bullard Jr. along with a color guard presentation from the Oakland County Sheriff's Color Guard.
The commissioners will take their oath of office and begin a two-year term of service. The board will welcome nine new commissioners to the 2011-2012 Board of Commissioners.
The 2011-2012 Oakland County Board of Commissioners will consists of the following members:
* Mike Bosnic* (R-Clawson and Troy)
* Craig Covey* (D-Ferndale, Hazel Park and a portion of Royal Oak)
* Kathy Crawford* (R-Novi, Novi Township and Northville)
* Marcia Gershenson(R- Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms and Franklin with portions of West Bloomfield and Bloomfield Township)
* William Dwyer* (R-Farmington Hills)
* Michael Gingell (R-Lake Orion, Oakland Township, Orion Township and Village of Lake Orion) who will be 2011 Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairman. Robert Gosselin (R-portions of Rochester Hills and Troy)
* Tim Greimel (D-Auburn Hills and Pontiac). He will be the 2011 Oakland County Board of Commissioners' Caucus Democratic Chairman.
* Mattie McKinney Hatchett (D-Pontiac)
* Robert Hoffman* (R-Highland Township, Springfield Township, Holly Township, the Village of Holly and Rose Township). He is an appointee who is scheduled to be confirmed at the January 5th Board meeting.
* Janet Jackson (D-New Lathrup, Berkley and with a portion of Soutfield)
* Christine Long (R-Milford, Milford Township, Milford Village, Commerce Township and Wolverine Lake)
* Jeff Matis* (R- Rochester Hills and Rochester). He will be the 2011 Board Vice Chairman.
* Gary McGillivray (D-Madison Heights with portions of Royal Oak and Troy)
* Thomas A. Middleton (R-Independence Township and Clarkston)
* Jim Nash (D-Farmington and Farmington Hills)
* Beth Nuccio* (R-Groveland Township, Brandon Township, Oxford Township, Oxford, Addison Township and Leonard). She will be the Oakland County Board of Commissioners' Republican Caucus Vice Chairperson.
* David W. Potts (R-Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills and a portion of Bloomfield Township)
* Nancy Quarles* (D-Southfield)
* Jim Runestad (R-White Lake and Waterford Township)
* John A. Scott (R-Keego Harbor, City of Lake Angelus and Sylvan Lake with a portion of Waterford)
* Shelley Goodman Taub (R-Orchard Lake, portions of West Bloomfield and Bloomfield Township). She will be the 2011 Oakland County Board of Commissioners Caucus Republican chairperson.
* Philip Weipert* (R-South Lyon, Lyon Township, Walled Lake and Wixom)
* David Woodward (D-Royal Oak)
* Helaine Zack (D- Huntington Woods, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge and a portion of Southfield).
