'Property Tax Appeals' discussed during OCBA seminar on Feb. 15

The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) will host "Property Tax Appeals: Practical Pointers from All Sides" on Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills. Property tax assessments will soon be delivered to real property owners, clients and attorneys alike. Given the declining property values throughout the state and the great need for tax revenue at all levels of government, many of these assessments will be ripe for challenge. The Real Estate, Municipal and Tax committees are joining up to assist attorneys in their preparations for these cases. Attendees will hear multiple perspectives on the issues and receive practice tips for upcoming assessment challenges. The cost to attend is $60 for OCBA members who pre-register; $40 for pre-registering OCBA new lawyers; and $80 for non-OCBA members who pre-register. For those paying at the door the cost will be $80 for OCBA members, $50 for OCBA new lawyers, and $105 for non-OCBA members. For additional information or to register, call (248) 334-3400 or visit https://www.ocba.org/EventDynamic/UserViewPage.asp?EventID=139. Published: Wed, Jan 26, 2011
