Patterson to give State of the County address

Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will deliver his 2011 State of the County address taking a look at the year ahead on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel will introduce Patterson at this invitation-only event at the Marriott at Centerpoint in Pontiac.
Topics will include the latest economic development news from Emerging Sectors, Medical Main Street, and Automation Alley; innovations from the county's IT Department; Oakland County International Airport; and current and future projects by the county's Green Team, among others.
Patterson's State of the County address will be broadcast on News/Talk WJR-AM (760) on delay from 8 to 9 p.m. The Oakland Press will stream the speech live on the Internet at www.theoaklanpress.com. Follow key topics during the speech at Patterson's official Twitter address @brookspatterson. The tweets will be transmitted by county executive staff. The speech will also be posted on YouTube.
