Man accused of trying to access secure database

PONTIAC (AP) -- Prosecutors say a suburban Detroit man charged with hacking into his then-estranged wife's e-mail also attempted to access a secure law enforcement database while working as an Oakland County computer technician.

The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press recently reported that a motion has been filed in Oakland County Circuit Court in Pontiac accusing 33-year-old Leon Walker of trying to get into the Court and Law Enforcement Management System last April.

Walker's attorney says it's an attempt to muddy his client's reputation. The Rochester Hills man faces trial next month in the e-mail case.

He has said he went into Clara Walker's e-mails to confirm she was taking their daughter on liaisons with her second husband.

Clara Walker claims she didn't give him the password. The couple divorced last month.
