Cooley students support Portland Plunge

Cooley Law School faculty and students joined in the Portland (Michigan) Community Arts Council's annual Portland Plunge to raise funds for the group's art- and music-related events. Plungers get pledges from people who, essentially, are daring them to jump in the Grand River in January. This year's event, the seventh annual plunge, raises about $1,000 for the organization. Cooley Professor Julie Clement offers her Research & Writing students the opportunity to earn an extension on one of their papers by volunteering for the PCAC, including the chance to participate in, or support, the Portland Plunge. This year, three students, John Hempel, Bernard Johnsen, and Joseph Ngo, took her up on the challenge and earned $225 for the PCAC. Published: Thu, Jan 27, 2011
