Sovereignty in Today's World The Journal of International Law, MSU Law International Law Society hosts symposium

The symposium begins with a dinner and panel discussion at the East Lansing Marriott at University Place, 300 M.A.C. in East Lansing on Thursday, February 17 at 6:30.
A panel of Col. Daria P. Wollschlaeger, U.S. Naval War College and Jordan Paust, University of Houston, Law Center with Bruce Bean, MSU College of Law as moderator will speak on "The Use of Unmanned Aerial Drones."
On Friday, the conference will begin at 8:30 and include discussion of:
* "The Effects of Human Rights Norms on Sovereignty, speakers: Susan Bitensky, MSU College of Law (Moderator), Michael Lawrence, MSU College of Law, Kimberly Alderman, University of Wisconsin Law School;
* The Surrender of Intellectual Property Sovereignty, speakers: Sean Pager, MSU College of Law (Moderator), James E. Darnton, MSU College of Law & Whirlpool Corporation, Patricia Judd, Brooklyn Law School, Doris Long, John Marshall Law School; and
* The Surrender of Economic Sovereignty, Speakers: Kevin Kennedy, MSU Law (Moderator), Karen Bravo, Indiana University, Elizabeth Trujillo, Suffolk University.
The keynote speaker for the Friday Luncheon will be Jeffrey Dunoff, Temple University.
Friday's events will take place in the Castle Boardroom (Room 343) of the Michigan State University College of Law.
