Panel to discuss 'Going Corporate' at Straker Bar meeting this month

The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association will conduct a membership meeting and panel discussion on "The Road to In House Counsel: Insiders' Guide to Going Corporate." The program will take place Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the offices of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, & Weiss located at 27777 Franklin Road, 25th floor, suite 2500, in Southfield.
Featured speakers include: Angelique Strong Marks, general counsel and secretary, Behr America Inc.; Rod Gillum, partner, Jackson Lewis LLP (former VP Corp. Responsibility & Diversity at General Motors); Yvonne Brathwaite, executive principal, In-House Only LLC; Drew Baker, corporate counsel, Kelly Services Inc.; Muzette Hill Stallings, associate general counsel, Ford Motor Credit; Richard White, general counsel, senior vice president, and secretary, AAA Auto Club Group; Roshunda Price, asst. general counsel, vice president, and asst. secretary, VHS of Michigan Inc. (formerly the Detroit Medical Center).
The panel is prepared to discuss and answer questions about today's opportunities for in-house counsel placement and how attorneys can map out their entrance into the corporate ranks.
