Man brakes into probation office for warmth, sleep

TROY (AP) -- Police say a man broke into a local probation office, telling officers he was cold and needed a place to sleep.
Troy police tell The Oakland Press of Pontiac that they responded to an alarm Saturday night at the Oakland County Probation Office and found a broken window.
Officers searching the building say they found a 60-year-old man sitting on a couch.
Police say the man gave his explanation before being arrested on a charge of breaking and entering.
