DRC's O'Connor Award presented to Lloyd Powell on March 2

The Dispute Resolution Center will hold its annual Bernard J. O'Connor Award Presentation and Reception on March 2, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Michigan Theater, 603 East Liberty Street, Ann Arbor, 48104.
"This year will be the 13th year that we have recognized an individual who has made a significant contribution to social justice through peaceful conflict resolution," a spokesperson said.
"We are pleased to announce that Washtenaw County Public Defender Lloyd Powell is the 2010 award recipient."
After the award presentation and reception, the film "Bilal's Stand," will be presented exclusively for attendees. Director and writer Sultan Sharrief will be available for questions and answers after the film.
