Women's History Month

In honor of Women's History Month, several bar associations presented a dialogue with Prof. Danielle L. McGuire (second from left) on Tuesday, March 8, at Wayne State University Law School.
McGuire is author of the book "At the Dark End of the Street: Black Women, Rape and Resistance--a New History of the Civil Rights Movement from Rosa Parks to the Rise of Black Power."
The event was hosted by the Association of Black Judges of Michigan (ABJM), the Wolverine Bar Association (WBA), the Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan.
Welcoming McGuire before the event were (left to right) ABJM President Linda Perkins-Moore, Brandy Robinson with WBA, Wayne County 36th District Court Judge Cylenthia LaToye Miller with ABJM, and Diane Hutcherson with WBA.
"I'll be talking about African American women's long struggle for dignity, bodily integrity, and respect in the Civil Rights movement," noted McGuire.
