The Association of Litigation Support Professionals, Eastern Michigan Chapter, will conduct an in-depth presentation by Megan L. Pizor, legal consultant for Kroll Ontrack Inc., who will discuss the utilization of "Intelligent Review Technology" on Tuesday, April 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kelly Services Inc., 999 W. Big Beaver Road in Troy.
Legal teams today are faced with increasingly complex issues in the field of e-discovery, ranging from coordinating global data collections to understanding the impact of social media and cloud computing on a client's discovery requirements. As e-discovery grows increasingly complex, the costs associated with collection and review of ESI also continue to grow.
Fortunately, cutting-edge technologies are helping to keep the costs of storage, location, and review of data more affordable and manageable. One such technology is Intelligent Review Technology, or "IRT." IRT integrates expert human logic with smart technology by evaluating and learning from document review decisions made by lawyers. IRT, and other such technologies, are helping legal teams provide more efficient, defensible, and cost-effective e-discovery solutions to their clients.
Megan Pizor is a legal consultant for Kroll Ontrack, where she advises law firms and corporate law departments on all facets of legal technology issues associated with electronic discovery and computer forensics. Pizor counsels attorneys on the intricacies of managing discovery requests for all forms of electronically stored information (ESI), providing comprehensive and detailed solutions to maximize litigation readiness and mitigate costs.
This meeting is free of charge to all ALSP members; non-ALSP members will be charged $25 at the door. A complimentary lunch sponsored by Kelly Law Registry will be provided to all attendees.
