LANSING (AP) -- The quarterly address verification period for Michigan residents convicted of felony-listed sex offenses is under way across the state.
It began last Friday and lasts for 15 days.
State police say all such offenders are required to report their current addresses to local law enforcement agencies. Those who don't face a graduated penalty ranging from a 93-day misdemeanor to a four-year felony.
In addition to April, the quarterly periods happen during the first 15 days of January, July and October.
