CYBERSPACE SIGHTING: Clark Hill launches blog as resource for in-house counsel

The attorneys of Clark Hill PLC have launched a new blog offering information and resources for in-house counsel. Located at www.InHouseCafeBlog.com and updated regularly, the blog includes legal updates, surveys on popular topics, vital links, law department management advice, best-practice tips, free access to upcoming events and archived presentations, and "best-in-show" sample forms and documents, among other resources.
Early blog entries address a range of topics, including:
* Retaining in-house talent in an economic upswing.
* The five employment policies in-house attorneys should update immediately.
* Questions about the role of the phrase "I'm Sorry" in litigation.
* The recent U.S. Supreme Court denial of an extension of FOIA personal protections to corporations.
* The U.K. Anti-Bribery Act and how it may influence the FCPA and your company.
While all Clark Hill attorneys may contribute to the blog, the team managing the blog includes Labor & Employment Law Practice Group Co-Chair Daniel J. Bretz, member David M. Cessante, associate Lauren R. Coatney, associate Sean P. Gallagher, associate Kristen Polanski, associate James Waggoner, member Linda M. Watson, and associate Anne-Marie V. Welch. Content will also feature insight from guest contributors, including legal management consultant Altman Weil.
"In-house counselors face a set of challenges all their own," Watson said. "Through our In-House Café Blog, we're allowing access to the collective knowledge of Clark Hill colleagues and guest contributors, to provide information and resources to help in-house attorneys meet those challenges. The blog is easy to navigate, its free and it offers a series of 'quick-read' items that can be consumed with a morning cup of coffee or at any time when it's most convenient for in-house attorneys."
