Economics of Appellate Practice Seminar set for May 20 in Livonia

The State Bar of Michigan Appellate Practice Section will host an Economics of Appellate Practice Seminar from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 20, at Embassy Suites, located at 19525 Victor Parkway in Livonia. The seminar will feature a presentation of the State Bar of Michigan's 2010 Economics of Law Practice Survey statistics, with a focus on appellate practitioners. There will also be a panel discussion on topics such as attorneys' fees, the cost of an appeal, recovering fee awards from an opposing party, and collecting from clients. The seminar will cost $25 for members of the SBM Appellate Practice Section, and $40 for non-section members. Snacks and beverages are included in the seminar cost.
