Captain Ryan Wilson is awarded the Meritorious Service Medal
GREAT LAKES, IL --On March 19, 2011, Ryan Wilson was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award) for his outstanding service as Staff Judge Advocate, Navy Region Midwest, Reserve Component Command.
Wilson received the commendation for:
- Working selflessly behind the scenes, Captain Wilson provided timely legal advice to the Commander, Navy Region Midwest and 35 Navy Operational Support Center Commanding officers on 100 military justice and administrative separation matters along with counsel for 90 standards of conduct and ethics matters.
-As Law Program Manager with the Navy Region Midwest Reserve Component Command, he provided oversight and leadership to 78 JAG officers, 29 Legalmen and 5 Reserve Law Units, resulting in awards for outstanding performance and operational support.
-Captain Wilson's exceptional professionalism, personal initiative, and loyal devotion to duty reflected great credit upon himself and were in keeping the the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
Wilson is a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve and just completed 26 years of military service. He is an attorney with Fraser Trebilcock Davis & Dunlap, PC. His column "Estate Strategies" is printed monthly in the Ingham County Legal News. It is featured on page 2 of this issue.
