Michigan's regional jobless rates held steady in March
LANSING (AP) -- The state says seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates in most regions of Michigan did not change much in March.
Six of the state's 17 major regional labor markets saw no change in the jobless rate compared with February. Seven areas had minor increases and four had marginal declines.
Figures were released last Thursday by the Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth.
Rates ranged from a low of 7.1 percent in the Ann Arbor region to a high of 15.2 percent in the northeast part of the Lower Peninsula. Six regions saw unemployment rates below 10 percent last month.
The jobless rates in all regions were below levels from March 2010.
