Wolverine Bar looks at 'Lawyers as Catalysts for Social Change'

The Wolverine Bar Association (WBA) will present "Against the Grain: Lawyers as Catalysts for Social Change" on Tuesday, May 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Detroit offices of Bodman PLC, 5th Floor at Ford Field, 1901 St. Antoine Street (enter at Gate G or use second floor connecting bridge). Join the WBA at its final membership meeting of the year, for a talk with Michigan lawyers who have devoted their careers to impacting the public interest. Though their specialties are diverse (ranging from voting rights and police misconduct, to environmental racism and wrongful convictions), they are united by a common thread: a willingness to be agents for social change. Come and learn about the work they do, why they do it, and why the community is counting on attorneys to train a new generation of social justice advocates.
