'Gardening with Grace' gets underway on one of the hotter days of the year

The WCBA's Public Service Committee's volunteer effort with Avalon Housing in Ann Arbor got underway Sunday with a flower planting at Arbordale Apartments at the corner of Arbordale and Pauline Boulevard. A good turnout of bar members along with a number of Cooley Law School volunteers handled the heat and the flowers in record time. Circuit Court Judge Timothy Connors once again offered the services of the Irish Perennial Rescue Society and its pickup truck delivering mulch and helping get it spread. The new Ann Arbor Cooley Law School IPRS Chapter got involved in its first project for the society having just formed last week. Two more dates are scheduled for the project including May 28, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stimson Apartments and June 5, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 1217 Huron at the corner of Huron and Crest.
