Member Leadership: GreenStone FCS Announces Board of Director Election Results
GreenStone Farm Credit Services has announced the election results for four seats on its board of directors along with the 2011 Nominating Committee.
In voting Region III (southeastern Michigan), Bruce Lewis, of Hillsdale County, joins the board for a three-year term, and incumbent William Stutzman, from Lenawee County, was re-elected for a three-year term.
Lewis operates a 500-cow dairy and farms 2,200 acres growing corn, alfalfa, soybeans, and wheat. Stutzman, a 24-year board member, farms with family over 3,500 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat.
Incumbents Darl Evers, an Allegan County resident, and Ed Reed, from Cass County, were re-elected to three-year terms representing voting Region IV (southwestern Michigan).
Evers, a board member for 21 years, raises Holstein heifers and turkeys. Reed raises 2,800 sows farrow to finish and farms 2,000 acres; he has been on the board for three years.
The 2011 Nominating Committee includes from voting Region I: Derek LeCronier, Bay County; and Jack Terwillegar, Saginaw County; from Region II: Chris Grekowicz, Huron County; and Scott Shaw, Sanilac County; from Region III: Wm. "Hank" Choate, Jackson County; and Chris Kimerer, Lenawee County; from Region IV: Ray McKenzie, Cass County; and Jan Vosburg, Kalamazoo County; from Region V: Keith Bouwkamp, Newaygo County; Mark Chaffin, Gratiot County; and Mike Rasmussen, Montcalm County; from Region VI: Patrick Feldpausch, Clinton County; Aaron Gasper, Ionia County; and Jeffery Sandborn, Ionia County; and from Region VII: Wayne Bradley, Kewaunee County; Frederick Opperman, Shawano County; and Beverly Wolf, Oconto County.
GreenStone Farm Credit Services, based in East Lansing, is Michigan and northeast Wisconsin's largest agricultural lender and the country's sixth largest association in the Farm Credit System.
