Commissioner makes appointment to Women's Advisory Commission

Oakland County Commissioner Bill Dwyer recently appointed JoAnne McShane to serve on the Women's Advisory Commission for Oakland County. As a member of the twenty-seven member commission, she will focus on various issues pertaining to women in Oakland County. McShane represent the cities of Farmington and Farmington Hills in District #14.
"I feel JoAnne McShane's leadership as a member of the Farmington City Council and experience will be a valuable asset to the Women's Advisory Commission. Based on her civic affairs, she will serve the people of District #14 with great dedication. I appreciate her interest in serving on the Women's Advisory Commission for Oakland County," stated Dwyer.
The next Women's Advisory Commission will meet Thursday, June 16, 2011. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. and will be held in the Oakland County Board of Commissioners' Committee Room A located at 1200 North Telegraph Road in Pontiac. The meeting is open to the public.
Anyone interested in volunteering to participate in various projects of the commission, should attend the meeting and become involved. For additional information, contact Dwyer at (248) 417-7500.
