IRS to discuss tax issues for nonprofits, June 10

The Center for Nonprofit Management at Lawrence Technological University will host a series of conversations with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) professionals on three areas of accountability for 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organizations beginning on Friday, June 10.
All three sessions will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. in room M218 of the Buell Management Building on the Lawrence Tech campus at 21000 West Ten Mile Road in Southfield. The cost is $25 per session or $60 for all three.

The June 10 session will cover the latest information on IRS forms and filing.
The second session on Thursday, July 21, will cover unrelated business income and how to report it.
The third session on Friday, Sept. 23, will explore the tax issues involved with various types of employment, including independent contractors and consultants.
