Hearing today for 15 year old in fatal stabbing
WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP (AP) -- A judge has scheduled a preliminary examination today for a 15-year-old boy accused of fatally stabbing another teen outside a home during a party in an affluent Detroit suburb.
West Bloomfield Township police say the suspect stabbed 17-year-old Johnathan Rickman in the stomach with a knife on June 4.
Police say the boys were acquaintances.
Rickman attended Walled Lake Western High School, while the 15-year-old attended Walled Lake Central.
The suspect is in custody at Children's Village in Pontiac. He faces adult charges of murder and felonious assault.
