The Oakland County Bar Association's Public Service Committee presented the final People's Law College with the topic of "Immigration Law: Status, Rights and Obligations of Non-Citizens" on Tuesday, May 31, at Cooley Law School in Auburn Hills.
Taking part in the program were (left to right) Cooley Associate Dean and Professor John Nussbaumer, Cooley's Center for Ethics, Service, and Professionalism Assistant Director Dionnie Wynter, and University of Detroit Mercy Immigration Law Clinic Director David Koelsch.
"Tonight's program is in conjunction with the Oakland County Bar Association and hosted by Cooley Law School," Koelsch said.
"It is to provide immigration legal advice to people who need immigration advice. We're going to take all-comers. We'll handle any type of case and provide free and confidential information just as a community service - just trying to do what we can."
