Wayne State University Law School’s Student Animal Legal Defense Fund presented a program on “Investigating & Prosecuting Dog Fighters” on Friday, Feb. 4, at the Law School.
Speaking at the event were Michele Baxter, Mark Ramos, and Raj Prasad, assistant prosecuting attorney with the Wayne County Homicide Division who helped create the animal protection unit
“We do all the animal cruelty and fighting cases,” Prasad noted. “I’m going to focus more on the prosecution of (dog fighting), really where we’re going legally in terms of dog issues and issues involving dog fighting.”
