Annual Golf Outing hosted by ADTC on June 6 in Redford
The Association of Defense Trial Counsel (ADTC) will host its Annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 6, beginning at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with lunch and registration at the Western Golf & Country Club in Redford.
Justices of the Michigan Supreme Court and judges of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, Michigan Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb County Circuit courts have been invited as guests of the ADTC.
The cost of the complete package for the golf outing is $125, which includes 18 holes of golf on a Donald Ross designed course in a private club setting, lunch, refreshments on the course, and a dinner of prime rib, baked salmon or chicken marsala with an open bar. The cost of dinner only is $50.
Early attendance confirmation would be appreciated. To make a reservation, call Diane Hirshey at (313) 237-0610. Due to space limitations, the golf field will be limited to the first 144 individuals responding. Team confirmations are encouraged. Single golfers will be placed with unfilled teams.

Lick named faculty member, speaker for Canadian Conference
David Lick, a shareholder practicing for the law firm of Foster Swift Collins & Smith PC, has been named as an adjunct faculty member for the Canadian Studies Center, International Studies and Programs at Michigan State University. As an adjunct faculty member, Lick will be responsible for guest lectures and hosting discussions related to public-private partnerships.
As a part of his new position, Lick will speak at the “Global Trade and Transportation: Next Steps” Conference, which will take place from June 19 to June 21 at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The event will focus on Halifax as a major transport corridor to Michigan and the rest of the Midwest. It will also explore current business cases that work, transportation issues and challenges, and plans for an intermodal transport hub in Detroit. Lick will be presenting regarding his area of expertise, public-private partnerships and their impact on Canada-US relations. Lick is a graduate of Michigan State University and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He is a nationally known attorney for his knowledge and experience in public-private partnerships. He has developed financing mechanisms for water and wastewater systems, roads, bridges, material recovery facilities and other infrastructure needs.
