Members of the Macomb County Probate Bar Association gathered recently to educate themselves about scams that are conducted against seniors in the community. The featured speakers were Suzanne Faunce, (second from left), chief of the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office Senior Crimes Unit, and Denise Hubbard (center), a registered nurse and business development consultant with Cherrywood Living and Nursing Center. They are pictured with (from left) Nancy Orletski and Wayne Wilson, MCPBA board members; Donald Strehl, MCPBA president; Michelle Fuller, treasurer; and Elizabeth Stubbs, vice president. The speakers said they hoped to educate those in the audience about crimes against seniors, such as embezzlement, and share information about how seniors and their families can protect themselves against such activities.
