For more than 10 years, Butzel Long attorneys have provided legal assistance to Young Detroit Builders (YDB) on a variety of employment, insurance, real estate and corporate matters.
Young Detroit Builders is an educational training program that helps qualified low income young adults ages 18-24 earn their GEDS while getting hands-on construction training. They also participate in community service projects and earn a living allowance during the full-time, 8-10 month training program.
Butzel Long attorneys have saved Young Detroit Builders tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees over the past 10 years and supported YDB’s primary fundraiser: The Showdown in Motown, which takes place this year on Sept. 23.
“Young Detroit Builders is an incredible organization with an important mission,” said attorney Robin Luce Herrmann, who is a member of Butzel Long’s Pro Bono Committee. “The Young Detroit Builders educational program is offering qualified individuals an opportunity for a brighter future.”
Providing quality pro bono legal services is a priority for Butzel Long. The firm’s lawyers use their expertise and training to make a difference each year.
