The Complex Commercial Litigation Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, recently presented “Conducting Settlement or Trial in a Complex Case — A Discussion with the Bench” at the T. Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit.  The first panel discussion featured (left to right) U.S. District Court Chief Judge Gerald Rosen, Eastern District of Michigan; Layn R. Phillips, former U.S. attorney and federal judge; and U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Mark Radon, Eastern District of Michigan.  The trio discussed effective techniques and the unique issues faced in trying to settle complex cases.
