Small business forum scheduled

The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section’s Small Business Forum will present “Growing Your Clients’ Business and Yours: How to Help You and Your Clients Succeed” on Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Columbia Center in Troy.

Attendees will learn how their clients can find new customers — and how to find new clients — both online and through traditional networking.

Speaking at the program, which is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m., will be Jeff Aronoff, executive director, D:Hive; Rob Luce, program manager, MichAuto, Detroit Regional Chamber; Vince Nystrom, vice president, Pure Michigan Business Connect, MEDC; and Eric Stief, senior vice president, Auto Harvest Foundation.

Moderating the program will be Gale D. Frentz, vice president, Continuing Professional Education, MACPA; and Douglas L. Toering, Toering Law Firm PLLC.
The registration fee is $25 (including light supper).

Deadline for registration is Friday, Oct. 19.

The Small Business Forum, established by the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan in 2006, specifically caters to business owners, attorneys, accountants, and other professionals who work with closely-held businesses.
