Sexual-harassment case against billionaire developer dropped
DETROIT (AP) — A flight attendant who claims billionaire developer A. Alfred Taubman sexually harassed her has dropped her lawsuit after just two weeks.
Nicole Rock withdrew her case last Friday in Detroit federal court. There was no explanation in the one-sentence statement filed by attorney Tom Warnicke.
Warnicke told The Associated Press recently in an email that his office will not comment on the case.
Rock says Taubman repeatedly groped her, forcibly kissed her and attempted to perform oral sex on her while she worked on his private plane. She says she worked for Taubman in suburban Detroit for six years until 2011. Taubman said the allegations are untrue.
Rock says she was granted short-term leave due to stress, anxiety and depression caused by the 88-year-old Taubman. The lawsuit had sought $29 million.
