Full Service Saturday/Passport Day USA will be March 9

The Muskegon County Clerk’s Office will be open for Full Service on Saturday, March 9.

All the services that the office offer during the business week will be available on Saturday. They will be processing Marriage License applications; requests for certified copies of birth certificates, death certificates, and marriage licenses; registering business names, and accepting Notary applications.

The hours the office will be open are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the office is in the  Michael E. Kobza Hall of Justice, 990 Terrace, 1st Floor, Muskegon, MI 49442 Information on all of the clerk’s office services, and directions to the office may be found on our website at: www.co.muskegon.mi.us/clerk or by calling 231-724-6221

Muskegon County Equalization will be set up to participate in Passport Day USA. Equalization staff will be accepting Passport Applications between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. No need to take off work or pull the kids out of school to get passports.

Information on the cost and how to apply for a passport book and/or a passport card is available at http://www.co.muskegon.mi.us/equalization/passports.htm or travel.state.gov. U.S. citizens may also obtain passport information in English by phone at (231) 724-6386 and choosing option 3. For instructions in Spanish, please call the National Passport Information Center tollfree at 1-877-487-2778. Equalization staff will also be able to provide photo services for the passport application for the cost of $15 for your one-stop-shopping convenience.
Applicants born in Muskegon County may be able to purchase their birth certificate (which is required with a passport application) through the  clerk’s office for the cost of $15.
