Baas named to Board of Legal Marketing Association chapter
The law firm of Miller Canfield announced that Christy Baas, manager of global branding and media, has been appointed as a member-at-large of the 2014 board of directors of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) Midwest Chapter. She also sits on the executive committee of the LMA’s Detroit Chapter.
The LMA Midwest Chapter consists of marketing, business development and communications professionals working in the legal industry in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan and Missouri. It is part of LMA International, which has members from across North America.
Baas joined Miller Canfield in 2002. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, in corporate communication/public relations from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She received the UM-D 2010 “Young Alumnus of the Year” award. She lives in Canton, Mich.
Attorney elected clerk of the State Bar’s RA
Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Daniel D. Quick recently was elected Clerk of the State Bar of Michigan’s Representative Assembly.
The State Bar of Michigan’s Representative Assembly is the ultimate policy making body of the State Bar of Michigan. As an officer, Quick will serve as chair of the Assembly in 2016 and will serve a three year term on the Board of Commissioners of the State Bar of Michigan.
Quick is a member in the firm’s Troy office and is Practice Department Manager for Commercial Litigation, Antitrust & Trade Regulation, ADR and Sports & Entertainment. He is a litigation attorney with a focus in the areas of commercial litigation (including shareholder disputes, trade secrets, and non-compete cases) and copyright, entertainment, and intellectual property. He holds leadership positions in the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Federal Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Foundation. Quick received his J.D. from the University of Michigan.
