The Real Property Section of the State Bar of Michigan hosted a “Groundbreaker” Breakfast Roundtable on the topic of “Construction Lending:?Back in the Saddle Again” on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. Among those taking part in the program were (l-r) Glen Zatz of Bodman PLC; Robert Nix of Kerr, Russell, & Weber PLC; Laura Lynch of Law Office of Laura McMahon Lynch PLC; Erik Prater of Bodman; Deonna Cruz of First American Title Insurance Co.; Joe Huntzicker of Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone PLC; Dawn Patterson of First American National Commercial Services; and David Martyn of First American Title Insurance Company. During the interactive presentation, experts discussed the construction loan agreement, lien priority issues, the progress payment process, title insurance issues, and other important areas of construction lending.
