The Federal Bar Association this week is hosting a New Lawyers Seminar at the U.S. courthouse and Federal Building in Detroit. Organizers describe it as a “nuts and bolts’ program to help recent law school graduate gain an understanding of fundamental procedures followed in federal and state courts. Along with the FBA, co-sponsors are U.S. District Court and the State Bar of Michigan’s Young Lawyers Section. Among those helping to prepare for the event are (left to right) Brian Figot, Terri Serra, Brian Hartwell, U.S. District Chief Judge Gerald Rosen, Tom McNeill, Lauren Mandel, U.S. District Magistrate Judge Steven Whalen, Cathrine Wenger, and Chris Graveline.
