Macomb Literacy Partners recognized by foundation

The Macomb County Bar Foundation recently awarded a $1,000 grant to Macomb Literacy Partners in recognition of the work the organization undertakes to eliminate adult illiteracy. Ken Lampar, executive director of Macomb Literacy Partners, is pictured accepting a check from attorney Dana Warnez as Terri Giampetroni of Legal Strategies PC, a member of the organization’s board of directors, looks on. Warnez, who is immediate past president of the Macomb County Bar Association, said the grant came from the MCBF’s Kimberly M. Cahill Memorial Fund. The ceremony took place as part of the foundation’s recent History Book Club monthly discussson at the Barnes & Noble book Store in Shelby Township.
