Breakfast Business

The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association hosted its annual Corporate Counsel Breakfast on Thursday, April 17, at the Skyline Club in Southfield. This year’s theme was “Confronting and Adapting to the Issues of the Contemporary Legal Profession.” General Motors attorney and Straker board member Courtney Shipp (left) was pleased to welcome panel speakers (l-r) Reginald M. Turner of Clark Hill PLC and Michelle A. Carter of Allied Human Services Inc. Some of the topics Turner, Carter, and other panelists discussed were “Impact of Social Media, Technology, and Privacy Laws,” “Regulatory Reform — A Gateway to Business Development,” “Diversity — What Does It Really Mean?” and more.
