The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association hosted its 21st Annual Trailblazer Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 12, at the Westin Hotel in Southfield. This year’s Trailblazer Awards honored (l-r) U.S. District Court Judge Denise Page Hood, Eastern District of Michigan; Shirley A. Kaigler of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, &?Weiss PC; and Detroit Medical Center Chief Administrative Officer Conrad L. Mallett Jr. The Trailblazer Awards recognize leaders in the legal community based upon their continuous individual contributions to the betterment of the legal profession.
During the dinner, out-going Straker President Rasul Raheem of Bank of America was happy to welcome incoming President Michael K. Jackson II of Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone PLC.
