ALA Breakfast

The Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) Metropolitan Detroit Chapter hosted a Breakfast Presentation meeting on Wednesday, June 18, at the Westin in Southfield. The topic for the presentation was “How to attract, retain, and motivate employees on a shoestring budget.” Among those taking part in the presentation were (left to right) Dawn Fraczek, Cara Blazek, Amirah Taki, Melissa Clark, Marcia Guy, Vivian McDonald, Bill Locricchio, Cynthia Whitcomb, guest speaker Debbie Voyt of Clearwater Compensation Group, John Reed, Denise Doherty, Lauren Simonetti, Tony Ventimiglia, Larry Halicki, and Taylor Miller. “Today I’ll be talking with the group about how to attract and retain key talent when compensation budgets are not very big,” Voyt said. “So looking at different strategies that new employees want today who are now consumers — and it’s more than just pay and benefits. So what are the other levers, the other elements, or total rewards organizations can use that are cost effective to attract and retain talent?”
