Funeral services are scheduled Friday in Detroit for attorney Michael K. Lee, who died Nov. 4. He was 53.
Lee was immediate past president of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter.
He was also a Fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
Lee was a native and resident of the City of Detroit. He was a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
Lee was the president and CEO of Lee and Associates, doing business as the Law Offices of Lee & Correll in Southfield.
He was a member of the State Bar of Michigan, a member of the board of cirectors of the Oakland County Bar Association, and a Fellow of the Oakland County Bar Foundation.
Visitation is scheduled Thursday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel, 16100 Schaefer Hwy. in Detroit.
A funeral service will take place Friday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Scholastica Parish, 17320 Rosemont Ave. in Detroit.
Interment will be at Mt. Hope Memorial Gardens, 17840 Middlebelt Rd. in Livonia.
In lieu of floral tributes, the family has requested donations be made in Lee’s memory to the Detroit Urban League's Workforce and Youth Development Programs. Checks can be made payable to the Detroit Urban League, and mailed to 208 Mack Avenue, Detroit, 48201.
