PONTIAC (AP) — The former director of a Detroit-area housing commission who was accused of breaking into apartments and stealing prescription drugs for personal use has been sentenced.
The Oakland Press of Pontiac reports 52-year-old Deborah Wilson was sentenced last Thursday to one day in jail, with credit for time served, and three years of probation.
Wilson pleaded no contest to two counts of second-degree home invasion and possession of oxycodone. She was accused of stealing prescription pills from the apartments of low-income residents and replacing them with other pain-reliever pills.
Willson was Ferndale Housing Commission director for 27 years before the reported thefts. She got a $130,000 settlement to leave her job.
