CARF International announced Neighborhood Legal Services Michigan has been accredited for a period of three years for its Services Coordination and Governance Standards programs. This is the first accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has awarded Neighborhood Legal Services.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
Neighborhood Legal Services Michigan is a nonprofit organization with offices at 7310 Woodward Avenue. It has been providing assistance with stable housing for those who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless; providing assistance with a variety of legal issues; creating education programs for youth and their families and assist those who are affected with HIV/AIDS; providing Supportive Services for Veteran Families, in the Detroit and Wayne County areas since 1996.
