A funeral service was held Friday in Mount Clemens for Jerald “Jerry”?R. Lovell, who practiced as an appellate attorney for more than three decades.
Lovell died July 5 at the age of 70.
The West Branch native was a graduate of Michigan State University and Detroit College of Law.
Lovell, a Clinton Township resident who was retired at the time of his death, was a former member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Macomb County Bar Association.
He was an avid reader and book collector and loved to travel, according to friends and relatives.
Lovell is survived by his wife, Lynn Davidson, Uncle Bert Parliament and Aunt Charlotte Parliament along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Harold W. Vick Funeral Home in Mount Clemens said the family requested that contributions be made in Lovell’s memory to the West Branch Public Library, 119 N Fourth St., West Branch, MI 48661; Macomb Literacy Partners, 16480 Hall Rd., Clinton Twp., MI?48038; or the Nature Conservancy, 4245 N Fairfax, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203.
