Michigan Supreme Court Justice David Viviano (left) helped celebrate a milestone event for Wayne County’s S.T.A.N.D. (Supervised Treatment for Alcohol & Narcotics Dependency) juvenile drug court program during a recent ceremony at the main branch of the Detroit Public Library. Pictured with Karen Braxton, presiding judge of the 3rd Circuit Court S.T.A.N.D. Program, and Wayne County Circuit Court Chief Judge Robert Colombo Jr., Viviano was on hand to honor seven graduates who completed the four-phase treatment regimen. The seven honorees bring the program’s total number of graduates to 200 since S.T.A.N.D. was established in 2000.
