Unveiling

Two historic bench-bar photo composites, one discovered by the Wayne County Circuit Court and the other by the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, have been restored and are now hanging on the wall adjacent to the elevators in the Coleman A. Young Municipal Building in downtown Detroit. The photo composites were unveiled during a special ceremony December 7, presided over by Robert Colombo Jr. (left), chief judge of the Circuit Court, and Donn Fresard, president of the DMBA. Inspired by the photographic collection, the DMBA has commissioned a 2016-17 composite similar in format to the historic pieces, according to Darlene Trudell, director of the DMBA. The unveiling was followed by an informal afterglow at the Cigar Bar of the London Chop House.
