A retirement reception was held January 12 for Lorraine Weber (left), longtime executive director of the Detroit Bar Association Foundation. Weber, pictured with attorney Lisa DeMoss, co-chair of the DBAF board, has guided the Foundation for the past 13 years, spearheading a host of projects and programs in support of legal aid work and the special needs of area foster children. The reception, which was hosted by the Detroit office of Miller Canfield, drew scores of well-wishers for the occasion. A University of Michigan alum, Weber earned her law degree from Boston University and has devoted her career to advancing the cause of access to justice.
