Goodman Acker, P.C. will give back to the community on Saturday, Sept. 23 when it offers free legal consultations and what’s billed as a day of family-friendly fun at its 4th annual law day at the Southfield Pavilion on Evergreen Road.
Attorneys in several areas of law will be on hand for legal consultations and advice from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Goodman Acker attorneys, who specialize in personal injury, motor vehicle accidents and Social Security claims, will be available.
Attorneys from other firms in the area also will be there providing legal advice regarding family law/divorce, criminal law, mortgage/bankruptcy, probate and immigration.
There is no charge to attend.
While parents are seeking advice, special guests including Detroit Pistons mascot Hooper and members of the Pistons Cheer Team will be on site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for photo opportunities.
Activities for children also are scheduled throughout the day including a face painter, balloon artist, games with giveaways and much more.
Lucky attendees will win sets of Pistons tickets to see the Pistons play at the new Little Caesars Arena.
“Everyone should have access to the legal system. Our Community Law Day provides that opportunity to the community,” said senior partner Gerald Acker, who co-founded Goodman Acker in
1993. “We will also provide fun-filled activities for the whole family, in addition to the legal advice. We look forward to hosting this event every year.”
