VIPs were out in force last Saturday, Oct. 28 for a gala celebration in honor of U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Damon J. Keith, who was saluted for his 50 years on the federal bench. Civil rights activist Jesse Jackson Sr., pictured with Judge Keith, was the keynote speaker at the event, which took place in the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit. The celebration was co-chaired by noted philanthropist Edsel B. Ford II and best-selling author Mitch Albom. More photos from the event will appear in a Friday Feature in the November 10 edition of The Detroit Legal News.
