Charles A. Perlos, a successful defense attorney in Jackson for 35 years, died January 31, 2019.
A Jackson native, Perlos graduated from Parkside High School and received degrees from Western Michigan University and Cooley Law School.
His passion was to help the poor, the oppressed and the wrongfully accused. He was highly interested in local and national politics, as an active Democrat.
He is survived by his daughters, Lane and Lindy; wife Kimberly; twin brother Mark, sister Pamela, and younger brother Alexander.
A service was held Feb. 5 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Contributions can be made for a memorial at Sergeant Marina in Charles’ memory. Checks made out to ‘Charles Perlos Memorial’ should be sent to Flagstar Bank, 2000 Horton Rd., Jackson, MI 49203.
