Kevin Huss starts new law firm

Kevin Huss is proud to announce the opening of Lumbertown Law, effective March 1. Lumbertown Law is located in Downtown Muskegon at 111 W. Western Avenue, where Huss will continue to assist clients in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, business law and real estate matters. 

“My goal is to find practical and efficient solutions to clients’ legal issues,” said Huss.  “I strive to be down-to-earth and approachable, both in the office and in the community.”

“Lumbertown Law will provide top-notch legal advice, and look for practical, common-sense solutions to clients’ legal issues,” Huss said.   

Kevin Huss received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 2005 and his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2008.  He holds a Certificate of Completion in probate and estate planning issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan *SBM).  Since 2016, Kevin has been designated as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in the areas of estate planning and probate.

Huss has been a member of the SBM since 2008, and is currently a member of its Probate & Estate Planning Section.  He has also been a member of the Muskegon County Bar Association since 2008, and served on its board 2012-2017, including as President 2016-2017.

Paralegal Kristin Potter is joining Kevin Huss at Lumbertown Law.  Potter has worked as a paralegal since 2011 in West Michigan, and will be assisting clients with estate planning, probate and trust administration, business law and real estate matters.
