An investiture ceremony was held at Fraser High School recently for Judge Alyia Marie Hakim, who was appointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to fill a vacancy on 39th District Court. Hakim is pictured here with U.S. District Court Judge George Caram Steeh III, who administered the oath of office. Hakim fills a term left vacant after the late Judge Catherine Steenland stepped down. The court serves the cities of Roseville and Fraser.
